₹13 Crore in fees collected in a single day with ZERO effort

About the institution
This well-known college in Nashik, Maharashtra, has been around since 2006. With 6000+ students studying courses like MBA, B.E, BCA, B.Sc IT and more, they were growing fast — but fee collection was slowing them down.
They collected fees in 4 instalments per year, thinking it would make things easier for parents. But they still faced serious fee collection issues.
The fee collection problem
Despite offering instalment options, the institution was struggling to collect fees on time, with
₹20 Crores in outstanding fees piling up at the end of the academic year.
While flexible instalments are meant to help families manage their budgets, for the college, tracking thousands of small payments became overwhelming. This fragmented collection process led to a massive backlog of unpaid fees, making it harder for the institution to manage cash flow.
As a result, staff had to constantly chase students and parents for payments, leading to stress and even disruptions during exams — creating friction at a time when the focus should be on education, not collections.
This created serious operational troubles as well:
“Our team was busy managing payments instead of focusing on academics and student needs.”

Root causes: Why collections were so low
Upon engagement, we conducted an assessment to determine the underlying causes of the fee collection delays.
The institution was being held back by outdated fee collection processes:
- Heavy reliance on cash
- Lack of automation and fee payment discipline
- No real-time visibility on collections
It was clear: to survive and grow, they needed to modernize fee collections and bring in a reliable, digital system.
Implementing the solution: Enter Jodo Flex
After having understood the major challenges, we laid out a plan for an effective implementation of the solution i.e. Jodo Flex.
Learn what is Jodo Flex:
Step 1: Making Jodo Flex part of the admission process
- Jodo Flex is an eNACH based Autopay fee collection system.
- Students had to authorize Autopay for paying all their fee instalments (until graduation) automatically on the due dates. Jodo Flex has a 30-second signup process, done at the point of admissions / re-registration.
- Students were allowed to attend classes only after completing their Jodo Flex setup.
- Fee payment in 4 easy instalments per year became possible — only through Jodo Flex.
Step 2: Clear communication with parents
- Official messages in english, hindi and marathi were sent through email and WhatsApp to parents and students explaining Jodo Flex.
- Timely fee payment reminders in english, hindi and marathi were shared with parents on WhatsApp and email.
Step 3: Frictionless implementation
- The Head Accountant took full ownership and made sure all departments followed the process and gradually in a month’s time, 120 students registered on Jodo Flex by themselves in a single day!
The results that mattered
The college achieved the following:
- 3367 students registered on Jodo Flex
- ₹13 Crore collected on Day 1 of instalments, powered by Jodo Flex
- 98.2% on-time fee collections
- Full visibility through digital dashboards: Zero time wasted on follow-ups
